Knole to Ightham Mote

Starts at Knole Park Car Park – opens at 10am. NB start time. Parking free for National Trust Members. Fee of £6 per person allows for parking & gatehouse, cafe & shop [but not the house]. If there are two or more persons in the same car, consider parking in Sevenoaks Town Car Park TN13 1LW (£5.80 per day) and walk half a mile to Knole car park.

A walk through fields and across paths with some inclines and one steep hill after lunch. Leaving the park to the north-east, we head to the road in Godden Green near the Bucks Head pub. Head south and follow road into Ightham Mote where we have lunch or picnic. We then pick up the Greensand Way heading west until Rooks Hill and on to Carters Hill. Cross back into Knole Park and House to the car park. EX147
