Eltham to Woolwich

Starts from New Eltham. NB Start time. Meet outside  New Eltham Station. Option for people to travel to Avery Hill Park and join the route. Also option to finish at Oxleas cafe if you only want to walk in the morning or to join there lunchtime and have a short walk in the afternoon.  A linear walk with good paths, one large ascent up to the lunch time cafe. Afternoon mainly descending.
We enter Avery Hill Park to arrive at second meeting point at the Winter Garden. Follow Green Chain Walk to Eltham Parks, South and North, towards Oxleas Meadows. Head up to the cafe for lunch stop/toilets etc.arriving just after 12pm. Leave the cafe and follow paths past Severndroog Castle.  Cross Eltham Common towards Woolwich Common. Cross the common and exit at the NE point and follow Woolwich New Road to the square in Woolwich and Woolwich Arsenal mainline station (and DLR). Woolwich Elizabeth line is a short walk away. Bus routes back to Oxleas Wood 244 or 161 & 132 to Avery Hill.
